Sheer fabric is made by using thin threads of silk or cotton or other material. How is it made, so that we can see through fabric? Clothes made from semi-transparent has been an off and on-trend since the Egyptian days but made a comeback in the mid-2010s. In other words, one can see the skin, but this is more semi-transparent than any other type such as sheer or opaque. I love the way we have so many layers – the sleeves showing skin, the cuffs with their evident seams, the button stand and little white buttons, the pleats in the skirts and the narrow hem.
